Flamingo Terrace: Perfect Birding Platform

The Flamingo Terrace at Porter's Island Thyme on Salt Cay is nearing completion!

 It has turned out better than our wildest dreams!  Thanks to all who played a part in making this happen. The artwork and architectural detail arrived in Miami today and is on its way to Salt Cay.

What surprised me is it is the perfect platform for birding on Salt Cay!  We have night herons both juvenile and adults up close and personal drinking from our koi pond.  When the flamingos arrive you will be able to view these too from the Flamingo Terrace.

While our expansion continues lots of people are asking about Lolli.  She performs a key role in the development of the new culinary creations we will be offering next season.

Today she was perfecting her Paella.  Can't wait to sample it tonight!

Flocking to Salt Cay!

There is exciting news on Salt Cay!

The osprey's are back in force nesting not only on the old LIME tower, but on the two new stanchions that were build last season by the Expat community on Salt Cay.

The osprey's are not the only species that is being seen again on Salt Cay.

Hummingbirds have been seen for the first time since Hurricane Ike at Porter's Island Thyme and with the first arrivals others are on the way.
