    Salt Cay Key Lime Pie

I am a purest when it comes to Key Lime Pie!

I was raised in the Southern tradition where pies should have a light a flaky crust and be topped with meringue.
The best I have ever eaten!
With that said I have just had one of the best, if not the best, key lime pies I have ever eaten...in a hole in the wall restaurant in central Florida.

Contrary to my traditional upbringing this pie has a almond graham cracker crust and is made with heavy whipping cream...yes the real thing and not the nondairy whipped topping that many recipes use.

What can I say?  Thanks for sharing the recipe!

Be one of the first to try this delicious pie at Porter's Island Thyme on Salt Cay.
