    Cusco...coming to Salt Cay!

My mind is still reeling from everything we learned in our travels!

Before we head back to Salt Cay we are trying to source some of the new ingredients to use in several of the dishes that will be added to our menu for the 2012-2013 Season.
    Plaza de Armas:   Cusco

My mouth is still watering from the new healthy drink recipes we learned.

Special thanks goes out to Limo (especially Francisco), Inka Grill, and Bravia just to name a few.
    LIMO...not to be missed...Thanks Francisco!
I miss my morning breakfast sandwich and drink concoctions at the central market in Cusco.  More thanks to all of the local ladies who shared their recipes with us...and had the patience to answer our many questions.
Breakfast sandwiches to die for...not to mention the hot cocoa!
And that is only part of the story.  Our Meetings in Lima were successful.  We are bringing some of the best Pisco I have ever tasted to Porter's Island Thyme on Salt Cay.  Yes, Pisco on Salt Cay!

Then it was on to Miami where scheduling worked out.  Our jewelry designer/manufacturer in Trinidad was able to meet with us on one of their annual visits to Florida.  Their new designs have a new level of creativity and are fantastic!  Orders have been placed and we will have the silver on display this fall.

Then there is the rum...but that is another story to be told over the bar on Salt Cay.

Haidee continues to support Green Products worldwide with Salt Cay Salt Works, but that too is another story...check out her Blog later in the week.
The people, the smiles, the sights, the sounds, the history,  and the food & beverages make Cusco special!  Not to mention it is a World Heritage Site.
One other note:  if you travel frequently by air in the U.S. or Internationally and are an American citizen you might want to sign up for the U.S. GOES Program and become a Trusted Traveler.  This program allows you to eliminate the hassle with TSA as well as simplifies the entry back into the U.S.  This Program, really does work!
