Salt Cay is a blending of contradictions…old and new, mystery and simplicity, hardship and high hopes, solitude and solid community…that has conspired to create the magical patchwork quality of Salt Cay life. It is a reality unto itself, with isolated sugar sand beaches, rugged iron shore coastlines and unique pocket of local island history and traditions, which add depth and dimension to its island flavor.
The spectacular underwater adventure and the stunningly remote and pristine beaches of Salt Cay are known and loved by water friendly travelers worldwide.
Salt Cay is virtually undeveloped and is a peace seeker’s delight. Many are surprised to learn that one hundred fifty years ago the island boasted almost eleven hundred residents and was considered the economic hub of the Turks & Caicos salt industry. Today it is a remnant of a life and a tradition not quite forgotten. Salt Cay whispers a haunting and wistful sonata of solitude among the abandoned ruins and relics of the past.
We have carried our menu back to its roots of the Caribbean; Salt Cay and the Turks & Caicos, but we infuse an Asian flair for what we call Caribbean Fusion Cuisine.
We have four separate dining rooms, so you can decide the level of privacy you would like when dining with us. Do you like the bar scene with the latest “gossip” and “happenings”? Prefer cocktails in Zen Sky overlooking the island? Like to have a private dining room all to yourself for an intimate evening; just let us know your preferences.
We have kept the popular events; Wing Night is on Wednesday and Pizza Night on Friday in addition to our regular menu offerings. We have added Lobster Mania on Thursday. We typically are closed on Sundays and we recommend you try the BBQ at the Coral Reef Bar & Grill or have dinner at Pat’s Place in the south district.
BINGO is on Saturday Night…a fun filled Game night of Bingo and Snacks starting after dinner. Texas Hold-em occurs on Thursday night after dinner is served.
We are well known for our special catered activities; be it a private party, birthday celebration, wedding reception, karaoke, BBQ or a get together for friends and family. Our venues are as varied as the events we can offer…beachside, pool deck, Zen Sky or Backyard…don’t hesitate to ask, anything is possible.
