    Salt Cay: Winter Has Arrived!

    The "Old"
Thank-you for all the Birthday wishes!
    The "New"
Frosty the Snowman, came to Salt Cay with the arrival of our first cold front.

What is cold?  On Salt Cay cold is in the mid to upper 70's.  And while these cold fronts are typical this time of year they only last for a couple of days and then our balmy, sunny weather returns.  And when it is "cold" on Salt Cay it is a lot colder elsewhere with real ice and snow, not to mention slush!

This cooler weather allows us to complete plans for the Holidays;  the Annual Christmas Ornament Contest is underway and the tree is "going up" as I write this.

At Island Thyme we are planning a traditional Christmas Dinner for guests, friends and our "extended" family.

An intimate New Years Eve Dinner is planned and New Years Day will bring a "Roast" with all the trimmings.  The New Year's Eve Party will be after dinner at the Coral Reef Bar & Grill for the late night set, featuring Salt Cay's own Rake & Scrape Band.

The food for these Special Events has been ordered.  The wine is here, the botique rums are "on the water" and the champagne is chilling.

Several of the accommodations on Salt Cay still have availability for Christmas and have announced deeply discounted rates.  However the island for New Years is rapidly filling up.  We suggest your finalize your travel arrangements soon so you won't be disappointed.
