Expressions Live from: Salt Cay-Turks & Caicos

Robert Hall was on Salt Cay yesterday broadcasting live, his show; "Expressions," from Porter's Island Thyme. The show was a resounding success!

Reviews from across the Turks & Caicos are now coming in and everyone has said this was one of the best "Expressions" ever.

The broadcast sent one very clear message via Radio Turks & Caicos to the world:

Salt Cay is unified in the desire to have development begin on the island. Across political lines everyone said: let's get on with it! Additional information is available from Radio Turks & Caicos in Grand Turk.

The members of the Salt Cay community had the opportunity to voice their concerns. Callers from the other islands and from as far away as New York and Miami also asked their questions and voiced their opinions.

Lucy Bullard with DEVCO reinforced: DEVCO is fully committed to development on Salt Cay.

Others voiced reoccurring concerns about the infrastructure on Salt Cay principally the need for improved facilities.

    These include:

    • Improved Dock Facilities

    • Improved Roads

    • Improved Airport and Flight Service

    • Improved Parks

H.E. the Governor was urged to "get on with it" and allow the development to proceed.

Mr. Hall had the opportunity to sample a famous Salt Cay speciality, welk soup, prepared by our District Commissioner. Mr. Hall was also presented one of the "Salt Cay Family" t-shirts in appreciation for his first broadcast from our island of Salt Cay.

For those who haven't been on Salt Cay recently the community urges everyone to return for a visit to experience our unique island, a simpler time and place; its history, the cuisine, swim in our azure seas and become one with the island. Not to mention, "The Wolf".
