Note from our District Commissioner: Salt Cay

Carolyn Dickenson, the Salt Cay District Commissioner, has asked that I share this information with you.  Mrs. Dickenson is working on a BLOG site with Haidee Williams and it should be operational in the very near future.  Until then, our District Commissioner has asked me to post community notices on this BLOG site:


Yesterday, July 7, was the deadline for submitting Tenders to repair the Salt Cay breakwater.  We should hear shortly which company will be awarded the contract.  We expect construction to begin shortly thereafter with the hope it is completed by September.


Thanks to the efforts of many this is to be the only major project approved this year in the Turks and Caicos islands.
